Laid down to go to sleep but my scalp started itching so bad I just gave up on sleeping and got up and made something to eat.

Now I want to sleep but am afraid I'll oversleep and miss my appt.

In for a sober holiday! Thanks, Mags. No one needs to see any of this bunch with alcohol in them!

OH EMM GEE! Andy! I feel all Christmas-joyous. Cats! I have eggnog latte, ya want one?

Is this one of those solstice things, or did I get it wrong again? Very appropriate to have you here.

(oh, edit, I just saw that dragon mentioned solstice. I was too excited to see andyh.)

Checking in for a sober weekend and Christmas!
Going into Xmas relaxed and organised! Something I could not say 2 years ago.

The good ol' Christmas party at work this afternoon. I now eat, chat, and leave. We do work tomorrow for at least half of the day, and usually, most people are nursing a hangover.

Unfortunately, I'll be around alcohol this weekend. Again I found it reasonable and logical to show up early, chat, eat, and hit the road.

I'm all in for a sober Christmas weekend.

Thank you so much Mags! I am grateful to you for what you wrote!
Oh no. Storm Pia sounds intense. Just reading now how it’s knocking down trees and powerlines. Are things OK?

In for a sober weekend. Got gobs of laundry to do but I am determined to stay sober this year again. So much better.
Not really looking forward to x mas. I still have to go out and get some money for the kids. My mother made me pay the housekeepers with my money so I have to get some more. Grateful my sister came over and helped my mom shower, without a few nasty quips at me though. I am hoping I make it over there on xmas even though I really don't care to see them much. I guess my niece and nephews should be there. Nice to see them. I get the feeling my sister has been saying crappy things about me to the kids and she and my odious, disgusting sisters are all buddy buddy now. They can have each other.
Have a wonderful day. Love and peace to all.

Just got home from the Neuro movement clinic. Got a physical exam, answered a lot of questions, doctor told me to keep up my daily dog walks.

Going to take Billie to the PO with me to mail two pkgs. Then stop at the drugstore to get my scrip.

I'm in for a sober weekend.

Least, I'm glad the appointment went well. Did the doctor give you any information about changes to expect in your balance or anything like that? It's good that they're checking up on you.

My last two Christmases were sober, and I'm glad to be making it a third. I had to smile at your opening post, Mags. I used to look at the holidays in that way too, and then emerge in January vowing to dry up. Starting the new year sober and strong is so much better! Good weekend to all.

I spent last Christmas drinking throughout much of the holidays and it was only by making sure I didn't drink too much on Christmas morning that I made it to my mum's house for Christmas dinner and the family get together. Though I was probably pretty drunk by the time I went home. This year I will be sober.

I was wrapping Christmas presents this afternoon and have had my fill of wrapping paper, sellotape and gift tags! Thankfully all presents are now wrapped. I've also got all my Christmas food shopping done so I can relax for a couple of days before the mayhem well and truly starts on Christmas Eve...

Take care everyone.

MERRY CHRISTMAS WEEKENDERS!

Good to see you Andy!

Peke - Mags was right, you have had some pretty serious surgery, that has to take a lot out of you physically and psychologically. Sending positive vibes your way.

Congratulations again on 3 years Grateful!

Later than usual today as I was uncharacteristically socialising with my former Crazy Golf friends.

The Winter Soltice is very soon, the days will be getting longer.

My parents used to make a lot of sacrifices for me at this time of the year. That's because they were Druids

Merry Christmas!

I noticed something today. I was out and about doing some Christmas stuff and found myself smiling at people and enjoying just living I guess. Not the fake polite smile but genuinely kinda joyful. A blessing of sobriety. God bless us every ...lol j/k I'm done.

Thats a W.

Merry Christmas to you all! I’m looking forward to my first sober Christmas in quite some time. Looking back at all the old Christmas Day photos of myself looking hungover and miserable is really motivating me this year.

Have a great one all!
