Thanks Professor. I HOPE it won't happen to me, but as you've said the AV is an extremely sneaky thing. I have plans in mind for when I return so I'll be less tempted, I hope, to stray. x

Hi guys - many thanks to all of you who took the time to respond to my question about a sober holiday Santorini is known as a "vine island" but I had banana juice, orange juice, mock pina colada, coffee frappe, coca cola, gallons of water, watermelon juice, various fruit cordials and lemonade. The one thing I DIDN'T drink was any alcohol. and I had a marvellous time. Once - again, thank you x x
Santorini, how wonderful!
Those drinks you had sound delicious *takes notes.*
Just a teensy reminder - Don't let down your guard now that you're home. Sometimes the let-down or the pride of not drinking or whatever it is - people seem to drink AFTER the drinking holiday/event has be successfully accomplished sober.
Pictures? I know you know how to post them (Hi, from Fluffy's thread.)

Thanks guys - I have absolutely no intention whatsoever about taking up the sauce again. Bimi - will post some pics when I've a mo. Plenny - one of the other things that helped me is a well known book that I picked up. It's a few years old and it's already been made into a film starring Emily Blunt. If you've already read it, please take it with you and re-read it whilst you're there as, for me anyway, it hammered home with astounding clarity why I had chosen to give the damn poison up in the first place! Again thanks and for those who are venturing forth, I hope that you have a wonderful time away x
