It's been a hella busy week for me guys, so you're all spared a ramble...
I'll make it up next week with an early thread for Thanksgiving
I did want to share this tho - if you haven't seen it is quite brilliant...if you have seen it it's probably worth a second look.
Have a great sober weekend all
D
on that Thanksgiving note...more next week, but never too early to plan a sober strategy

My grandkids are staying overnight with me.
I (9 times out of 10) pride myself on being a good grandma.
As soon as I saw them this morning I led them into the kitchen for a proper breakfast: oatmeal, banana, and milk--
--and goldfish, cookies, and potato chips. I told them to always pick out the chips that have a bubble in them, or the kind that are folded in half.
That's the sort of example I believe in setting for children!

I'm in! Not sure what the plan is for the weekend yet - Might go to a friend's cabin, but haven't decided for sure yet. The thought of quiet, wood fires, and no TV or internet is tempting...
I'm in. Dee, I really like that film. Thanks for sharing it here. And it's never too early to plan for the holidays. It's only a week away and already people have made plans. Families are squabbling. Well, mine is anyway. By plan I mean "how do I plan to stay sober through the holiday craziness?"
Congrats Tetra. Didn't you get shotgun last week? Quick on the mark.
Gilmer, kids will eat all sorts of things and turn out just fine. Your grandkids alternate breakfast sounds like a regular morning at my house. For the longest time I fed my son frozen corn dogs for breakfast because it was the only protein he would eat. Thankfully he's moved on from there but I felt like the worst mother until I thought at least he has food. And personally, I LOVE the folded potato chips. They're my favorite.

I'm here too. It has been a highly emotional week for me and America, and I do feel like hiding out and skipping the holidays entirely. I say yes to toasting with fudge and potato chips and not alcohol. We can do this!
Climbing aboard the sober bus. A cabin in the woods without people wanting things does sound good
Weekends are tough times for abstainer even at the best of times, even more so during the festive season so use this weekend as a "dry" run for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Newcomers are always welcome. Instead of picking up that first drink post here instead
