5 days sober
Hi Lily!
This site has been invaluable in my own stopping drinking. Check in here everyday. I do to keep my sobriety at the forefront of my mind. Keep us posted!
Quick tips:
Remember what it was like. Write it down.
Chocolate for cravings.
Go easy on yourself.
Tell others when you're ready.

I can't believe its been nine days that I have been sober! I'm still fighting fatigue, but I've encountered a new problem. My hands get shaky every now and then. It's decreased over the last few days, but it still occurs constantly. Does this eventually go away?
Hi Lily, skaky hands are something I encountered in the first week or so too so it will calm itself down soon enough, hopefully you should feel the benefits of the vit B soon.
Well done Lily, you are on your way.

Good job on 9 days. Hope you stick with it. You're very young still and there's no reason to throw away ten more years of your life away on this like I did. Looking back I wish I'd have quit in my 20s. Would have been so much easier. Good job!!
Hi Lily, good to meet you, and well done on 9 days
You' ll probably have all kinds of weird symptoms over the next couple of months or so, I know I did and they are levelling out now at four and a half months.
I think it's different for everyone, but I would expect some tiredness as normal.
If you're worried about any of your symptoms, a trip to the doc to reassure yourself is never a bad thing.

Well done Lily! I'm on day 4 today and my hands and fingers are shaking like crazy, it's embarrasing! I get very bad nightmares and my bed gets soaked from sweat. To be honest I'm suffering a fair bit and can't wait for it to stop. I was a extremely heavy drinker so I guess it's my own fault. Hopefully everything will be ok in a couple of days for both of us.
Well done.

Everything you said above is exactly what I went through, just too reassure you it does get way better, just hang in there good buddy and huge congrats on 4 days.
Sorry to hear you fell off. My advice is to dust yourself off and get right back on! Don't let alcohol win!
Make yourself a sober plan. There is tons to read here on this site about that.
Stay away from known temptations. EXPECT your AV to try to con you and be ready! Good luck!
Write up a sober plan with acceptance http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...at-we-did.html
