verbal slip
I was at a worker safety seminar yesterday. The speaker asked the audience what do you do to relieve stress. Everyone blurted out replies. Shocking response spills out of my mouth, 'Drink!'. Despite my 55 days, my automatic answer was that. What's that about? I am disappointed in myself to say the least.

Thanks guys! I guess it's all part of the journey. I was surprised at my response because this entire process is amost always in my conscious thoughts. Guess my subconscious has to get with the program.
pumpkinny,
not shocking at all. it's what you did for however long..."drink" is the go-to for all kinds of things in your repertoire.
it's great that this came out of your mouth, because it gives you the chance to see how the brain has these automatic reactions. and how automatic that is.
shows you what you're dealing with, partly.
thereby giving you the extra impetus to do the work on getting different tools in place for stress relief.
it all takes time.
