Newbie...Looking for AA Meetings in Redford MI
I'm new to the forums here on SoberRecovery and new to recovery. I know what led me to addicition and know it's time to take action.
I feel like Kilroy peeking over the wall, looking into my life with fear, shame, and experiences that need to be faced. The first peek is where I'm at today and I KNOW this is going to be a long hard haul for me.
I'd like to know if there is a website or where I can find information on local AA meetings. I'm in the Redford/Livonia area of Michigan. If anyone can lead me in the right direction it would be GREATLY appreciated

This may help, just click on the link below. It`s good to call ahead to make sure the meeting info is current. Look up AA in your phone book and they can help you, also they can arrange a ride if you need one.

So GREAT that you are going to a meeting!
One suggestion, you might want to call the Intergroup number on the website just to confirm the meeting. Some Intergroups are better than others about keeping their meeting lists up to date.
Oh, and just to make it a bit easier, here's a very cool link about what to expect at your first AA meeting. It's pretty accurate, and describes what the different kinds of meetings are like.

Thank You
Thank you for your help ladies Ann that's exactly the type of schedule I was looking for and the info on what to expect your first meeting is great. This is a big step for me and anything that can help me cope more is welcome!
Whenever anyone is looking for a mtg all you have to do is either go on the internet, or call your local AA hotline in your area its in the phonebook. Some cities will even have someone come get you and bring you to your 1st mtg. Welcome, hope you find what you are searching for? Keep the Faith
Welcome. Sounds like you are taking the bull by the horns in going to AA. Just remember that every AA group has its own personality. If your first meeting isnt so hot try other meetings.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Welcome to SR and congrats on going to AA! Here's the link to the flyer for the Dearborn roundup.
