Thanks for the welcome. I am very glad to be here. I’m just very tired of drinking with “rules” in place, and trying to moderate. I just don’t do well with that. I have great intentions to only have one, but I just can’t do that. It seems my life works better when I just don’t drink. So that’s why I’m not drinking today. And most of all, I am not drinking today for me. I really have to be selfish about sobriety.

I’m here for July. Today is day #2 and feeling pretty crappy about myself. I know it’s one day at a time but after a bender getting out of that funk/ depression can seem insurmountable. I know I’ll get day two under my belt because I won’t drink today but hoping the depression and regret lifts soon. The post bender blues suck but I know I never have to feel this way again.

LoveDD I would say give yourself love and patience and focus on just getting through today sober. If your head hits the pillow tonight sober that's a win today.

LoveDD - I agree with Five Tries. I’m trying to keep it simple for today and not future trip. Be kind to yourself.
