Monica is a health writer and licensed professional nurse (LPN) who lives her life alongside others in recovery, one day at a time. As a nurse for over 20 years, Monica inspires others to reclaim their health, learn their patient rights, and communicate effectively with their healthcare team. Her ongoing and extensive research explores natural treatments and the effects of food and nutrition in our daily lives. Monica earned her LPN and Associates of Applied Science (AS) in nursing and culinary arts from North Seattle College. She lives in Bellingham, Washington, where she is active in her community, advocating for veterans and domestic violence survivors.
